3. User Conduct

Users must not submit false campaigns or impersonate others. Misuse of the platform may result in account termination.

4. Liability

JoyFund INC. is a platform provider and does not guarantee any campaign outcome. We are not liable for disputes between campaigners and donors, but we will review complaints seriously.

5. New York State

JoyFund INC. aims to comply with applicable consumer protection, charitable solicitation, and data privacy requirements. Users may request access to or deletion of their data where required by law.

6. Disputes

If you are unsatisfied with a campaign experience, you may contact us through our Contact page and we will review the complaint. Refund outcomes may be limited by payment processor rules and fees.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the site implies acceptance of updates.

8. Responsibility of Use

Campaigners: Users who set up a campaign may be required to complete identity verification to reduce spam and fraud.

Donors: Donate only through JoyFund’s official checkout flow (Stripe). Do not send donations directly to campaigners.

9. Tax Information (for Donors)

Donations may not be tax-deductible unless and until JoyFund INC. obtains recognized tax-exempt status.

10. Transferring of Funds to Campaigners

To reduce fraud and misuse, JoyFund may review campaigns and coordinate fulfillment of the intended joyful experience. Funds are not necessarily transferred directly to a campaigner.

11. JoyFund Fees

JoyFund charges a small platform fee on each donation to help maintain the platform and support our mission:

• JoyFund platform fee: 5% per donation
• Payment processor fee: typically around 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (Stripe)
• Optional tip: donors can add a tip to support JoyFund

Example: A $100 donation:

• Goes to Campaign: $91.80
• JoyFund Fee: $5.00
• Payment Processing Fee: $3.20
• Total Charged: $100.00

Refunds return the donor’s money minus any fees already processed (where applicable).
